Something About Puerto Princesa, Palawan Puerto Princesa known as the ecotourism capital of the Philippines prides itself as the cleanest city in the entire archipelago. The city embraces both the east coast facing the Sulu Sea and west coast facing the South China Sea, right in the center of Palawan mainland. There are two prevailing type of climate. The type that prevails in the west coast has two distinct seasons: six months dry (November-April), and six months wet (May-October) with the heaviest recorded rainfall in September, While the lowest or driest month occurs in February. And as a gateway to have an absolute Palawan experience, visitors will surely be awed with activities that is offered by its mantel of rainforests, outstanding dive sites, majestic mountains, primeval caves, pristine beaches, colorful marine life, exotic flora and fauna that are found nowhere else.
Diving in Palawan is always UNFORGETTABLE! Puerto Princesa Bay offers you amazing dive spots where you can encounter all kinds of reef fishes, barracuda, turtles, rays, sharks, whale sharks (only in season), pilot whales, napoleon, dolphins, and if you are lucky you can also meet the famous Dugong (Sea Cow). Honda Bay (Puerto Princesa) is an ideal place for the one that love to dive in a natural aquarium. Here you can see a lot of reef fishes, turtles, eels, nudibranches and beautiful corals. Coron Bay is
an area in the south of Busuanga, but rates a mention in itself because
it's one of Asia's best undeveloped and even unknown wreck dive
sites. Tubbataha Reef is absolutely one of the best diving spots in the world and can give you a one of a kind experience. What makes this site so interesting is that you can see different things at every level. Shovelnose rays cruise along its shoulder. Marble rays lay like big pancakes on little ledges. Further down on the drop off, leopard and nurse sharks nap in crevice and under overhangs. Large dogtooth tuna are also often sighted, gliding mysteriously through the clear blue water. White tip reef sharks patrol at all levels, and manta rays are often seen cruising off the reefs. The
season to enjoy this amazing dive spots starts at the middle of March till
